Dance has always been more than just movement—it's a universal language that brings people together, breaks barriers, and fosters deep connections. Whether through social dance, contemporary movement, or traditional performances, dance studios create safe spaces for individuals from different backgrounds to express themselves. But what if dance could do even more? What if it could be a tool to fight discrimination and promote inclusion?
The ACT NOW training course, happening from 14-23 July 2025 in Pińczów, Poland, is a unique opportunity for dance studios and dance educators to expand their impact beyond performance and into the realm of social change. Organized under the Erasmus+ program, this training will equip participants with non-formal education methodologies to combat discrimination, foster inclusion, and support young people in diverse environments.
Why Should Dance Studios Join?
Dance as a Tool for InclusionDance already plays a significant role in breaking down social and cultural barriers. By joining ACT NOW, dance educators can gain practical tools to structure dance programs that actively promote social inclusion, diversity, and intercultural understanding.
Expand Your Studio's ReachMany dance studios engage with youth who may come from underprivileged or marginalized backgrounds. Learning new techniques in non-formal education can help dance instructors provide a more inclusive and empowering environment for all students, regardless of their social or cultural backgrounds.
Professional Development & Erasmus+ RecognitionBecoming part of the Erasmus+ network allows dance studios to access funding for future projects, collaborate with international partners, and develop programs that integrate dance into social change initiatives. By registering as an official Erasmus+ organization, dance studios can open doors to various funding opportunities and international projects.
Networking with Other Change-MakersThe training will bring together youth workers, educators, trainers, and facilitators from across Europe, creating opportunities for collaboration and future partnerships. For dance studio owners and instructors, this is a chance to connect with like-minded individuals who are passionate about using creative methods for social impact.
Practical Skills to Apply in Dance ClassesThe training will include workshops, role-playing exercises, and interactive group challenges. These methods can be adapted to dance classes, helping instructors foster deeper conversations about identity, diversity, and mutual respect through movement.
